Job Description:
The Green Group is a General Haulage and Warehousing business, due to the growth of our Trafford Park site, we are expanding the Transport Division to manage a fleet of 50 vehicles and looking to recruit Transport Operators.

Hours of work will be 6am to 6pm, on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.

The role will involve:-

  • Supporting the Transport Planner with the effective management of fleet and drivers
  • Ensure drivers have been pre-briefed at start of their shift
  • Drivers are equipped with and are provided with all equipment applicable to their role. Trained to use the Company’s technology
  • Maintain the Company’s transport system (Truckcom) to monitor jobs, progress and keep on top of queries and ensure drivers are on track with their duties
  • Communicate with other members of the Transport Dept, Planning, Customer Services and Accounts team at Head Office
  • De–brief drivers at the end of their shift, ensure Tacho cards are downloaded, paperwork filled in correctly, folders are complete, POD’s scanned and vehicle standards are upheld
  • Scan and check POD’s when necessary and retrain drivers on their responsibilities if required
  • Check driver folders to ensure keys, mobile tablet and fuel cards are present and replenish all paperwork
  • Raise any non-conformances immediately to the relevant person and / or your Line manager
  • Support with managing driver infringement reports, ensure drivers are briefed and reports are signed off

Job Description:

You will be joining a busy site where you will be capable of providing dedicated service to our customers ensuring routes are planned accurately and efficiently.

The role will involve:-

  • Cost effective planning of vehicles to meet customer load plans
  • Informing drivers of their loads/collections, providing all the relevant information.
  • Managing and ensuring adequate resource is available i.e drivers, vehicles, trailers
  • Ensure all legal requirements are met including drivers hours and tacho requirements
  • Liaison with drivers and managing discipline
  • Full communication with other planners, customers, operators and management team at Head Office
  • Manage high levels of customer service, processing of customer order received via Bookings Inbox, acurrately and in a timely manner, input on transport system
  • Monitoring and managing deliveries to ensure delivery schedules are met and customers informed it they are not
  • OTIF reports for customers as required

Job Description:
The Green Group is a General Haulage and Warehousing business and due to business growth we are looking to recruit FLT Drivers at our Trafford Park, Manchester site.

The role will involve:-

  • Ensure all activities relating to loading and unloading vehicles are carried out accurately, safely and in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail at all times.
  • Use RF for stock put-away and pick from paperwork.
  • Ensure that all stock in the warehouse is free from damage and rotated accordingly.
  • Stack goods in the correct bay, follow stock control instructions.
  • Report stock discrepancies.
  • Complete regular checks of the FLT's and the warehouse for damage and rectify/report immediately.
  • To keep FLT's maintained and that they are kept to the high standards of cleanliness.
  • Assist with stock checks as and when required.
  • Ensure all paperwork is kept safe.
  • Maintain general housekeeping.
  • Assist with any other warehouse duties within capabilities and training.

Experience required:

  • Valid licence to operate a Reach Truck or Counter Balance (FLT)
  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment

  • Be methodical with an eye for detail, be able to work under pressure, co-ordinate and manage workload
  • Good communication and listening skills
