Job Description:
The Green Group is a General Haulage, Pallet Network and a Warehousing business that is looking to recruit an HGV Technician to work in our Workshop on site at our Head Office, Maltby. We currently have 150 vehicles and 200 trailers. Hours of work will be 12 hour shifts, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Role will involve to:

  • Maintain, inspect & repair vehicles and trailers.
  • Prepare, present and accompany all HGV vehicles for annual test.
  • Carry out periodic safety inspections to all HGV vehicles to DVSA standards and higher.
  • Attend breakdowns or accident damaged vehicles and carry out permanent or running repairs as required.
  • Ensure all relevant health & safety legislation is adhered to.
  • Paperwork – Must be kept up to date, make sure it’s completed and correctly filled out in a timely manner.
  • Update of records/defects via the workshop system.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping to keep all areas in a safe and clean condition.
  • Operate Fork Lift Trucks if required to do so if trained.
  • Keep within ISO standards ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO18001.
  • General servicing and fitting mechanics. Liaising with Head Management on workloads and time scales.
  • Time critical servicing – must carry out work in a prompt and professional manner to suit time frames.
  • Tools and equipment management – must keep and maintain tools provided by the company in an orderly fashion. Report any missing or damaged tools or equipment to Head Mechanic immediately.

Job Description:
The Green Group is a General Haulage, Warehousing and Pallet Network business based in Maltby, Rotherham and we are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor who will be based at our customers site located at Ellesmere Port. You will provide first line support for Transport Planners at our head office and liaise with Drivers, management and customer to ensure we provide a high standard of service.

Role will involve to:

  • Full responsibility for the transport operation on site
  • Ensure decisions are taken with full knowledge of the P&L implications to the business
  • Work with local Customer staff to ensure all loads are carried out according to plan
  • Monitoring jobs, progress chase and maintain Truckcom system to service customer requirements, regular updates to Head Office planners and drivers
  • Compliance of the Operator’s Licence, ensuring all legal and legislative procedures are adhered to, including drivers hours and tacho requirements
  • Make sure all drivers are fully inducted, pre-briefed and are equipped with PPE and Trained on Truckcom mobile
  • Monitor fuel cards, Tacho Card/Vehicle downloads and all defects are completed/reported
  • Ensure driver infringements are briefed and signed off
  • Full communication with Head Office Senior Team
  • Encourage team work, provide solutions to problems quickly without hesitation
  • Raise any non-conformances immediately to relevant person and/or Transport Manager

We are looking to recruit a Transport Co-ordinator, to work days on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, based at our Head Office, Maltby, Rotherham. Our transport office environment is very busy, therefore we need someone who is happy to be kept busy and can work under pressure. Provide dedicated customer service, have initiative and preferably worked within a logistics environment.

Role will involve to:

  • Ensure drivers have been pre briefed at start of their shift
  • Drivers are equipped with PPE and trained to use Green Groups Truckcom mobile tablet
  • Maintain company transport system (Truckcom) to monitor jobs, progress and keep on top of queries and ensure drivers are on track with their duties
  • Full communication with other members of the transport department and customer service team
  • De–brief drivers on return to the yard, ensure Tacho cards are downloaded, paperwork filled in correctly, folders are complete, POD’s scanned, vehicle is clean
  • Scan POD’s when necessary and retrain drivers as required
  • Check driver to ensure keys, mobile tablet and fuel cards are present, replenish paperwork
  • Raise any non-conformances immediately to relevant person and/or Line manager
  • Capture infringement reports for drivers and ensure driver is briefed and report is signed off
  • Defects reported are dealt with appropriately
  • General administration duties as required
